RAT (Ride Around Town) Rides
are slow advocacy rides designed to evaluate low stress route conditions and supporting infrastructure across Fort Collins. RAT rides explore a different low stress bike route each month followed by a a fun social discussion of the route. A summary of each ride in the form of a route guide is posted and reported to FC Bikes.
ZAT (Zagster bike ride Around Town) Rides
are slow rides on FC Bike Share Zagster bikes to explore station locations across Fort Collins and evaluate evaluate the most comfortable ways of gaining access to them. ZAT rides are planned periodically, typically in connection with Fort Collins Bike Share system expansion.
Next Ride Saturday, October 8th – ZAT Ride
Our October RAT ride promises to be the ride of the year. This will actually be the first ever ZAT ride, a RAT ride on Zagster bikes. The ride is scheduled for Saturday Oct. 8, leaving from New Belgium Brewery around 11:00am. There are two objectives for this ride – celebrate the expansion of our Fort Collins Bike Share system and tour existing and new stations. You’ll get a chance to look at station connectivity and accessibility. The ride will also end at NBB.
Since the idea with this ride is to encourage you all to use Zagster bikes, a signup form has been created. That way we can ensure there will be enough bikes. And for those who sign up early, a limited number of free Bike Share membership passes are available
. So please sign up here
, regardless of whether you want to reserve a Zagster bike. If for some reason you would rather ride you own bike, that will be ok too.
