#1. Question 1: Legal or Not?

Legal!

Cyclists are legally allowed to ride two abreast when they are not impeding the normal flow of traffic.

#2. Question 2: Legal for the cyclists? Legal for the motorist?

Cyclists – legal, Motorist – illegal

The cyclists are legal because they are riding as far to the right as they feel safely possible (notice the gravel and debris on the shoulder). The motorist is not legal because motorists are required to give cyclists three feet when passing.

#3. Question 3: Legal or not?

Legal!

Riding two abreast in a lane with “sharrows” is legal.

#4. Question 4: Cyclists are in a roundabout, legal or not?

Legal!

Taking the lane through a roundabout is legal, and the safest. The other legal way to go through a roundabout is to get on the sidewalk and cross as a pedestrian.

#5. Question 5: Legal or not?

Legal!

The cars are legal and allowed to cross over the double yellow line when passing cyclists. Cyclists are also legal because they are riding single file.

#6. Question 6: Legal or not?

Illegal!

It is not legal to ride against traffic. Riding the wrong way is the leading cause of bike-car crashes.
