ANNA’S PAGE

Bike to Work Day is a City of Fort Collins hosted event, celebrated twice a year:

  • A summer one every June in conjunction with Colorado Bike Month, and
  • A winter one on the second Tuesday of December, as a great reason to ride your bike in, sometimes, frigid temperatures.

Independent of the season, this event entails just what it says, riding your bike to work. Except on this day it includes 25-60 bike station sponsors spread throughout the city’s low-stress network of bikeways and bike trails, providing everything from food, drink, music, fun and comradery as you make your way to work.

Bike Fort Collins is proud to participate at a station during each Bike to Work Day. Watch this page or our eNewsletters for where we’ll be each day and plan to stop by for some BFC schwag, to talk about bikes and to take our Legal or Not Quiz (if you haven’t taken it here on our website).

The summer Bike to Work Day has been postponed to September this year due to COVID-19 precautions. It’s currently scheduled to take place Tuesday, September 22, 2020, so mark your calendars. In the meantime, be sure to take part in our Remington Bike Counter Challenge on Wednesday, June 24, 2002—what would have been Bike to Work Day.

Often we can use volunteers to help host our station. Learn more.
