MyCycle, powered by Bike Fort Collins, is excited to announce an innovative collaboration that combines corporate philanthropy, team building, and employee engagement through bike build and assembly events. This unique model not only fosters a sense of community within participating organizations but also results in brand new bikes for children in our community. Our mission aligns perfectly with Bike Fort Collins’ ongoing partnership with the Poudre School District through the Safe Routes to School program, which encourages safe, active transportation and helps more students experience the many benefits of riding a bike.

300 bike GOAL

We are seeking funding to provide bicycles and helmets for students attending Title I elementary schools within the Poudre School District. These schools serve a significant number of students from low-income families, and we believe that access to a bicycle can have a lasting impact on a child’s physical health, confidence, independence, and overall well-being. Our primary goal is to ensure every eligible 2nd-grade student—approximately 300 children each year—receives a new bike and helmet. With additional community support, we also hope to provide bikes to as many deserving 5th-grade students as funding allows, giving even more children the opportunity to experience the freedom, joy, and lifelong benefits of cycling. The schools we are focusing on are listed below.

Since launching MyCycle in 2020, we’ve provided more than 1,600 new bikes and helmets to local students, helping thousands of kids experience the freedom and confidence that comes with riding a bike. Today, the program continues to grow, with approximately 300 bikes and helmets distributed each year to students in need, ensuring more children have access to safe, reliable transportation and the joy of riding.
