BFC Book Club
INTRODUCING THE BFC BOOK CLUB
New for 2021, Bike Fort Collins is excited to announce and introduce the BFC Book Club focused on community building, bikes, bicycle advocacy, and how it all applies to our lives in Fort Collins and the Northern Colorado area. The goal of the book club is to increase engagement among all our constituents while educating and advocating for more bicycling or safe cycling initiatives—hopefully creating more advocates and ambassadors for the BFC mission.
The BFC Book Club will endeavor to read four books each year, or one per quarter. The club will meet every six weeks, or 2x-per book throughout the year (either via Zoom or in-person, once the pandemic permits) to enjoy an open, moderated discussion about the book(s) and their respective messages in a friendly community setting.
We are pleased to be an officially registered book club with Old Firehouse Books where BFC Book Club members are able to purchase the current book club title at a 20% discount.
BOOK SELECTION CRITERIA
For the inaugural 2021 BFC Book Club year each quarter’s book title will be selected with a focus on racial equity, social equity, and transportation equity as it relates to bicycle advocacy and all things bike related.
2nd quarter book Club title
Revolutions: How Women Changed the World on Two Wheels by Hannah Ross will be our second book for the 2021 cycle with TBD Zoom discussion dates to be held in mid-May and late-June or early July.
For those interested in joining the BFC Book Club, register today! (via the button below) — and purchase your copy of the book at Old Firehouse Books.
