Once again, Bike Prom brought together Fort Collin’s diverse crowd of bike-loving folks in the name of bikes, bikes, and more bikes, with a dance party on top. Bike Fort Collins partnered with the Foco Bike Mob to deliver a loud and proud Bike Prom on July 15th, with the Lyric Cinema again being the quintessential location. Following a late afternoon pre-party at O’Dell Brewing, a large prom peloton rode in parade fashion to the Lyric Cinema, where things got moving at 8:00 p.m. on the small stage with dance beats from DJ Specific Heat. Headliner Westside Joe and the Men of Soul brought the soul that moved the crowd like never before on the Lyrics’ new outdoor cement dance floor. DJ Specific Heat finished the night with more dance grooves that had the group moving well into the night.
To round out the evening, Fort Collins’ own, Mayor Arendt crowned this year’s “Best Dressed.” Other activities included a Trek sponsor Photo Booth, a silent auction with products from local businesses, and the Raffle drawing to award the winner of a brand new e-bike from Priority Bicycles.
We are very grateful and honored to have the support of the following sponsors and supporters: Brave New Wheel, Tandem Real Estate, Edge Optics, Trek Fort Collins, the Bohemian Foundation, North Forty News, KRFC 88.9 FM, and Priority Bicycles.
Additionally, it truly took an army of volunteers to pull this off – Bike Prom tiaras designed and crafted by Scott Bolte, a silent auction chaired by Sarah Lamb, corsages and boutonniére pieced together with care by Mitch Popko as well as a long list of loyal BFC names and faces who ensured all components of the event ran smoothly. Our volunteers are many, and we thank you all for helping us pull off Bike Prom 2023. See you in 2024 for even more good times!
