As one priority and goal of their Active Living Plans, the resident coalition within Bike Fort Collins’ Active Living program identified that bilingual wayfinding signage was needed to help residents of north Fort Collins navigate the high-traffic state highway corridor to access local parks and natural areas. In September the residents participated in an experiential walking event and identified priority destinations across the city for the installation of bilingual wayfinding signage.

This week, we are excited to report, in conjunction with City of Fort Collins’ FC Moves department, the signage was installed at locations along the Poudre Trail, Hickory Spur Trail, Hickory Street, and North College Ave. This is the first implementation of bilingual wayfinding signage in the city of Fort Collins!
