Bike Fort Collins was thrilled to welcome back familiar faces and celebrate new friendships during this year’s Tour de Farms! Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors—HSD Law, Stodgy Brewing, Pro Velo Bicycles, Go West T-Shirt Co., and Fortified Collaborations—we delivered an outstanding event while raising critical funds to support our year-round community programs and services.

Despite a forecast calling for rain, the weather turned out to be ideal! Riders enjoyed a crisp morning that gave way to a warm afternoon, shedding their jackets as the sun broke through for a perfect day of cycling and farm visits.

We had a sold-out group of eager cyclists setting off from Stodgy Brewing, embarking on a scenic 22-mile journey along Fort Collins’ low-stress bike routes and paths, stopping to visit some of the city’s finest urban farms.

Throughout the day, participants visited four different farms, each showcasing local growers who shared their stories and offered delicious, farm-fresh tastings. The first stop at Fat Donkey Farm featured a choice of veggie or meat egg strata, along with a meet-and-greet with Waffles, the resident donkey, while the farmers introduced their regenerative agriculture practices.

Next, riders pedaled to Belafonte Farm, where they enjoyed a farm-to-table pattypan squash panzanella, swapped mozzarella for Puente Verde Farm’s chèvre (Recipe Here), while learning about the farm’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and local food systems. At Morning Fresh Dairy, cyclists sampled Noosa yogurt topped with Olde Man Granola, accompanied by insights into the farm’s long history and dedication to quality dairy practices. The final farm stop at Well Fed Farmstead treated riders to zucchini carrot bread, creatively swapped with Noosa honey yogurt instead of sour cream (Recipe Here). Farmer Ryan Ericso provided a tour, discussing the farm’s ongoing success and sustainable methods.

After a fun, informative day of riding, participants returned to Stodgy Brewing for a well-deserved lunch from La Campechana Mexican Food, a local food truck serving a mouthwatering array of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, empanadas, and flautas. And, of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without a cold beer from Stodgy Brewing!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers—this event simply wouldn’t have been possible without you! From the early morning setup crew at Stodgy Brewing to the photographer (Ryan Muncy Photography) capturing unforgettable moments, to the volunteers stationed at each farm and those welcoming riders back with beer tokens and goody bags at the finish line—your dedication is the heartbeat of this event. We can’t wait to see you all again for Tour de Farms 2025!
