This past weekend a community health fair for residents of surrounding mobile home parks, featuring information and resources related to healthy and active living. Hosted by Bike Fort Collins’ Active Living program, there were 19 organizations present, including The Family Center/La Familia, Salud, The Office on Aging, The Growing Project, Fuerza Latina, and many others. Vendors offered valuable information regarding community resources, addiction counseling, and health services, as well as useful supplies such as LED lightbulbs, reusable bags, and fresh produce. Event attendees chatted with friends and family while learning about resources in the community. A local food truck (La Campechana) provided food and children played at the kid’s tent. 183 individuals attended the event from four different neighborhoods (Poudre Valley Mobile Home Park, Hickory Mobile Home Park, Coachlight/Neighbor to Neighbor, and Collins Aire Mobile Home Park).
