Bike Prom once again brought together Fort Collins’ vibrant and diverse crowd of bike enthusiasts for a night dedicated to the love of cycling, culminating in a lively dance party. This year, Bike Fort Collins partnered with Edge Optics to deliver a spectacular event, with the iconic Lyric Cinema serving as the perfect backdrop.
A Fun-Filled Evening Begins
The festivities kicked off with a late afternoon pre-party at O’Dell Brewing, setting the stage for what was to come. Attendees mingled, shared stories, and admired each other’s bikes, all while enjoying some of Fort Collins’ finest brews. As the excitement built, a large prom peloton paraded through the streets, creating a joyous spectacle on the way to the Lyric Cinema.
The Main Event at the Lyric Cinema
At 8:00 p.m., the main event began. DJ’s Twoscoops and Jemini welcomed guests with an energetic mix of tunes that kept the dance floor alive. Their music set the tone for the evening, ensuring that everyone stayed in high spirits and ready to celebrate.
Veloco Gold Sprints and More
As the night progressed, Veloco Productions took center stage with their thrilling Veloco Gold Sprints. These head-to-head bicycle races had hearts pounding and cheers echoing through the venue. Fort Collins’ own MC, Badger, kept the crowd entertained with his lively commentary and had the honor of crowning this year’s “Best Dressed” participants.
Additional Activities and Highlights
The night offered more than just dancing and racing. A Bike Prom Photo Booth allowed attendees to capture memories of their stylish outfits and the fun they were having. A silent auction showcased products from local businesses, and a raffle gave one lucky winner a brand-new e-bike from Priority Bicycles.
Gratitude for Our Supporters and Volunteers
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters: Edge Optics, Priority Bicycles, Trek Fort Collins, Brave New Wheel, HSD Law, the Bohemian Foundation, and KRFC 88.9 FM. Their support was crucial in making Bike Prom a reality.
A special shoutout goes to our army of volunteers. Alex Broyhill led the bike parade safely, while Mitch and Casi Popko meticulously crafted corsages and boutonnieres. To our loyal Bike Fort Collins volunteers, we appreciate your dedication and hard work in ensuring every part of the event ran smoothly.
