On Wednesday, June 24, Fort Collins once again showed why it’s one of the most bike-friendly communities in the country with an estimated 6,000 participants showing up for the 2026 Summer Bike to Work Day. Riders were treated to beautiful, mild temperatures during the morning commute before a warm summer afternoon, with just a brief shower wrapping up the Bike from Work Bash.
This year’s event was bigger than ever, featuring more than 118 morning stations and 18 afternoon stations hosted by local businesses, organizations, and community partners throughout Fort Collins. From coffee and breakfast burritos to bike tune-ups, giveaways, and friendly faces, stations welcomed riders of all ages and experience levels while celebrating active transportation.
Bike Fort Collins was proud to host our annual station at Oak Street Plaza alongside an incredible group of community partners who helped make the morning a success. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, grab a snack, learn about our programs, and celebrate the joy of riding together.

A shout out to our bike mechanic, Alex Havorka.
Their generosity, time, and effort made for a memorable morning full of connection and community.
The celebration continued that evening at the Bike from Work Bash at Odell Brewing Co., where hundreds of riders gathered to enjoy live music, refreshments, giveaways, and great company. The warm evening—and even the quick rain shower near the end—did little to dampen the festive atmosphere as the cycling community came together to celebrate another successful Bike to Work Day.
Thanbk you to all the businesses that generously donated great prizes from Topo Designs, InCycle, Trek Bicycle Fort Collins, Brave New Wheel, Widefoot, and Recycled Cycles.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every station host, volunteer, sponsor, and participant who made this incredible day possible. Your enthusiasm and commitment continue to make Bike to Work Day one of Fort Collins’ most beloved community traditions.
We can’t wait to see everyone again for Winter Bike to Work Day. Until then, keep riding, stay safe, and thank you for helping make Northern Colorado a better place to bike.
