Tour de Fat once again brought Fort Collins together for a day that perfectly captures what makes this cycling community so special: bikes, creativity, costumes, music, beer, and plenty of fun.
Bike Fort Collins was proud to be part of the 2026 celebration alongside New Belgium Brewing and fellow local cycling organizations. For decades, Tour de Fat has helped turn a love of bikes into meaningful support for organizations working to make cycling more accessible and build a stronger bike community. We are grateful to New Belgium for continuing that tradition and for including Bike Fort Collins among the local organizations benefiting from this year’s event.
A huge part of what makes Tour de Fat possible happens behind the scenes. Bike Fort Collins volunteers showed up throughout the day to help with everything from parade support and information booths to beer service and event cleanup. Their time and energy helped keep the day moving and allowed thousands of people to enjoy the festivities. We truly appreciate everyone who gave up part of their day to volunteer with us—and hopefully had a little fun along the way.
Of course, the parade was once again a highlight. Mountain Avenue became a moving celebration of Fort Collins cycling culture, with riders bringing out elaborate costumes, imaginative bike creations, and plenty of creativity. Tour de Fat has a way of transforming an ordinary bike ride into something completely unexpected, and this year was no exception.
After the parade, the celebration continued at New Belgium Brewing with live entertainment, food, drinks, and a chance for the community to come together. The event also helped raise funds for local cycling organizations, including Bike Fort Collins, SendTown Bike Club, Overland Mountain Bike Association, and the Fort Collins Bike Co-op. That support directly contributes to programs and projects that strengthen cycling throughout our community.
For Bike Fort Collins, Tour de Fat is about more than one day of costumes and bikes. It is an opportunity to connect with people who believe that bicycles can bring communities together, create opportunities, and make our streets better places to live.
