Thank you to everyone that joined us for the annual Tour de Pi(e) ride this year. We had a picture-perfect break in the weather to enjoy the perfect ratio of pie and beverages on this wonky math day.

As the warm evening set in, riders began arriving at Retreat Bakery and Bar. Geoff, the owner, welcomed riders with a choice of two flavors of pies, Key Lime or Caramel Apple, beautifully baked by his wife, Sam.

With the first slice of pie in their bellies, riders of all ages and abilities began the 9-ish mile route following many of our city’s low-stress bike routes and paths to the next destination, Totally 80’s Pizza & Museum. Riders line up to get a generous slice of either Pepperoni or Cheese pizza while enjoying the cheesy 80’s music and Pop Culture memorabilia that took owner Alex 10 years to track down and collect.

Continuing a fun-filled ride, everyone headed to the last stop, Purpose Brewing and Cellars, which graciously agreed to open their doors for our event for a well-deserved last taste of pie from Rise and Pies. Denise, the owner made small individual pies for everyone to enjoy and with many options to choose from, Blue Hawaiian, Cherry, Salted Caramel Apple, Cherry & Apple, Blueberry, Dutch Apple, and Apple; everyone ended the day happy and satisfied.

Tour de Pi(e) 2023 is only possible with adequate praise for the friendly cycling community and local businesses that came together to make this an annual event that we hope to enjoy every year. We look forward to seeing more of you next year for Tour de Pi(e) 2024!
